Free Melbourne Transport

Melbourne City Tourist Shuttle 

The Melbourne City Tourist Shuttle is a great way to see Melbourne's attractions, and it's FREE!

Hop on and hop off the bus at any of the 13 stops at key city destinations including: Southern Star Observation Wheel, the Docklands precinct, Melbourne Museum and Carlton Gardens; Queen Victoria Market; Melbourne Aquarium; Immigration Museum; Southbank; the Shrine of Remembrance; Royal Botanic Gardens and Chinatown.

This popular, free service operated daily every 30 minutes between 9.30am and 4.30pm, excluding Good Friday and Christmas Day. The complete trip takes approximately 1.5 hours and includes an informative on-board commentary as you travel around Melbourne.

*Please note, Stop 3 Sports Precinct is not operational on MCG event days. 

City Circle Tram

The City Circle Tram is a free service around central Melbourne. The tram takes passengers past major attractions such as the Old Treasury Building, Parliament House and the Princess Theatre and links with other tram and train and light rail services.
 
To catch the free City Circle Tram service, just wait at any of the specially marked stops on the route.

Trams run in both directions every twelve minutes between 10am and 6pm Sunday to Wednesday and extended hours, 10am to 9pm Thursday, Friday and Saturday (except Christmas Day and Good Friday).

Free Sydney Transport

City Transport - CBD Shuttle

The CBD shuttle (Route 555) will get you around the City for shopping, business or to connect with other transport.

Its frequent and its free.

The shuttle operates every 10 minutes in both directions between 9.30am and 3.30pm on weekdays (until 9pm on Thursday nights) and between 9.30am and 6pm on weekends.

Free Adelaide Transport

City Transport

You can travel around the Adelaide city centre for FREE when you hop on board the tram between North Terrace and South Terrace, or the 99C bus. You can find all route and timetable information on the Adelaide Metro website.

The Adelaide Connector Free Bus Service


This bus service is a convenient link between the major facilities within North Adelaide and Adelaide city centre. Facilities such as universities, schools, community services and shopping precincts are now linked and accessible via the Adelaide Connector free bus service.

The service operates 7 days a week (except public holidays). Mondays to Thursdays it runs between 8am and 6pm, on Fridays between 8am and 9.30pm, on Saturdays and Sundays between 10am and 5pm. For more information, see the Adelaide City Council website

Free Perth Transport

City Transport - Transit Zone ( FTZ )

Within the Perth city centre travel on public transport is free. The boundaries of this free travel zone are defined at the Transperth web site. To travel within this zone you can simply hop on any train, bus or CAT. You are not restricted to the amount of times you can use this service and no tickets are required. The FTZ includes City West and Claisebrook on the Fremantle, Midland and Armadale train lines, the start and finish of the FTZ are clearly marked, on the train stations and bus stops. If you board a train or bus inside the FTZ and intend to travel outside of the FTZ a valid ticket must be purchased and fares apply from where you first board to your destination. If you're not sure where the FTZ starts or ends ask the bus driver.

Free Brisbane Transport

City Transport - Brisbane Buses

The Loop is a free bus service that runs through Brisbane's Central Business District. It has numerous major stops including Central Station, Queen Street Mall, Botanic Gardens, Riverside Centre, QUT and King George Square. From Brisbane Airport

The Airtrain is free for children under 15 years of age from Brisbane Airport to Brisbane CBD.
