Adventure Tours Australia - 3 Day West Coast Tour will see you exploring the west coast of Tasmania: lush forests, waterfalls, mountain ranges, lakes and national parks including Cradle Mountain - Lake St Clair, a World Heritage area. Stay in cosy accommodation at Strahan and Zeehan.
Day 1: Hobart to Strahan
Starting at Mount Field National Park, where you can stretch your legs on the Russell Falls and Tall Trees walks, we continue to Lake St Clair for a view of Australia’s deepest lake. On the way to Strahan we trek and discover the Franklin Gordon Wild Rivers National Park. We spend tonight in our own exclusive accommodation in the historic coastal township of Strahan where you will learn the amazing history of pining, mining and convicts!
Day 2: Strahan to Cradle Mountain Region
We enjoy a morning leaning the interesting past of Strahan with options to suit everyone! Take a stroll along the foreshore or up the Water Tower Hill for a precious view over Macquarie Harbour and Ocean Beach; walk through a rainforest to Hogarth Falls, or if you are feeling more adventurous organize with your guide to canoe in a nearby lake (at no extra cost). Later, we take a walk through the Henty Sand Dunes. In the afternoon we visit the 'Silver City' of Zeehan and in the afternoon you'll have the opportunity for a bike ride (included) at our overnight lodge accommodation.
Day 3: Cradle Mountain to Devonport
Today we discover the World Heritage Cradle Mountain National Park. Enjoy the pure air with a guided walk around Dove Lake with views of Cradle Mountain, or challenge yourself with a more strenuous hike (unguided). The 3 Day West Coast Tour spends this afternoon exploring more of the state's mid north before our arrival in Devonport.
