Melaleuca Surfside Backpackers is a gorgeous site offering guests shaded camp and Kombi van sites, wooden cabins, custom-built from red cedar, and all the accommodation is set amid peaceful bushland. Melaleuca is a real wildlife sanctuary and home to a large variety of native wildlife including koalas, possums, frogs, sugar-gliders and kookaburras.
Just 5 minutes walk from sparkling One Mile Beach and 7 minutes drive to Nelson Bay, Melaleuca is located close to the village of Anna Bay and the magnificent Stockton sand dune system, within the Worimi Conservation lands. Melaleuca now operates tours into the amazing Sand dune system in addition to our Winery tours to the 3 local vineyards.
