Tasmanian Expeditions invites you to join our enthusiastic and adventurous tour guides on our Port Davey Track trek, a seven day challenging bushwalk in the remote south west of Tasmania's World Heritage Area.
Trekking out from Scott’s Peak Dam we skirt the imposing Western Arthurs. Enclosed by the ancient peaks of the White Monolith Range, we camp on the banks of the mystical Crossing and Spring Rivers. Extraordinary pockets of rainforest with ancient Celery Top Pines and Sassafras create a difference to the open skies of the Lost World Plateau.
A boat crossing of Bathurst Harbour at the Narrows leads to a walk to the isolated outpost of Melaleuca where the crowd from the Port Davey Track Trek prepare for an exciting flight back into civilization. This tour can be combined with our nine day South Coast Track trip, creating one of the world's greatest wilderness experiences, a 16 day traverse of the entire south west of Tasmania.
